L A ( ) B

And today, allow me to present a cocktail I invented tonight. Maybe because I haven't slept for 3 days, well, 4 hours in the second night, 2 today in the morning…
I called it LA( )B, Live Ain't (that) Bitter. Great for people who love bitter drinks.

It is really simple. Let's just make an easy Gin & Tonic, 1/4 to 1/3 Gin,  and then, give it a shot of Amaretto, yep, the italian almond liquor, but just a little one - for the sake of smell, not for alcohol (that one is controlled with the gin). The point is the aroma, which is held captive by the ice until you get close - so serve it with a lot of ice, for temperature is a relevant matter for a drink. Because for me, a whiskey with ice has an as assassinated aroma like an unfreezed vodka. Of course, the aroma of a really high-end Gin gets lost with ice, but I am talking of Gins like Tanqueray, which I can buy here in Mexico with the money I can spend on it, not bad for drinks…

It ain't sweet, its bitter, but the aromas combine to a sweet thought. And certainly refreshing.
Live ain't that bitter, or at least, it smells sweet enough …. :)
